§ 6-317. Required.

(a)

No person shall, except as an incident to the sale or servicing of motor vehicles or unless licensed to do so by the city under this article, carry on or conduct the business of:

(1)

Selling used parts of or used accessories for motor vehicles;

(2)

Wrecking or dismantling motor vehicles for resale of the parts thereof;

(3)

Rebuilding wrecked or dismantled motor vehicles; or

(4)

Destroying motor vehicles by any means (including, but not limited to, such operations as crushing, shredding, flattening, bailing, compacting or melting).

(b)

The words used in this division shall be deemed and construed to include, embrace and apply to secondhand or used motor vehicles, parts, etc.
