§ 2-23. Expense reimbursement procedures.

  • In accordance with section 2.6 of the city Charter, elected officials of the city shall be entitled to be reimbursed in an amount not to exceed $1,200.00 per month for expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties, in accordance with an annual budget to be approved by the city council. In no event shall an elected official be reimbursed from amounts allocated for future months. However, elected officials shall not be prohibited from being reimbursed from unexpended amounts from past months within the same fiscal year. Elected officials shall not exceed an annual expense reimbursement of $14,400.00 per fiscal year.
