§ 14-131. Obstructing, damaging watercourse, canal, drain, ditch, etc., prohibited; penalty.

  • (a)

    No person may willfully, or otherwise, obstruct, damage, destroy or interfere in any way with the functioning of any canal, drain, ditch or watercourse, or any drainage, flood control or water conservation works constructed by or for the county.

    (b)

    Any person who shall willfully obstruct, damage, destroy or interfere in any way with the functioning of any canal, drain, ditch, or watercourse, or any drainage, flood control or water conservation works constructed by or for the county water management district or the city shall be liable to the city for double the cost of removing such obstruction, repairing such damage or replacing such destroyed works.

    (c)

    Any person who shall willfully obstruct, damage, destroy or interfere in any way with the functioning of any canal, drain, ditch, or watercourse, or any drainage, flood control or water conservation works, shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished as provided in section 1-13.
